INTRODUCTION to WIN's PUBLICATIONS
Please keep the following in mind
when preparing and submitting contributions, as each one will be
evaluated regarding its compliance with the following criteria prior
to going online:
With these publications WIN
would like - first and foremost - to give ordinary people with
extraordinary hobbies, skills, knowledge, professions and interests
the opportunity to present their activities to a large readership,
i.e. WIN's Namibia Internet community & friends.
In case you are earning or trying to earn money with such
activities, this is fine too. But then your contribution should
concentrate on providing solid background information on what you
do, how and why, about your purposes and goals - and dreams, if you
like. Only if you have a paid advertising web page with
WebITNamibia.com, will you be most welcome to include links in the
article to that page.
Please ensure that the content
of your contribution relates to Namibia or is of relevance to the
people, friends and supporters of our country, in one way or
another.
These free publications are meant to motivate, educate, entertain
and inform our site visitors and thus enrich their online
experience, if not their daily lives.
Should you wish to share your experiences or views on potentially
controversial matters, please do so in a fair and balanced manner
and be sure to provide supporting facts as well as suggestions for
solutions.
Your contributions may be
written in English, Afrikaans or German. If you do include typical
Namibian expressions, please provide their translations too or at
least some explanations of their meanings - so that our
foreign site visitors stay in the picture as well. For the same
reason, we regret having to exclude contributions in indigenous languages
from publication.
French, Spanish and Italian
speaking friends of WebITNamibia.com may want to use the
'Language Tools' provided on the index pages of Google and some
other search engines but in our experiences the resulting
translations are of rather poor quality, if not outright wrong.
Please keep each contribution short,
at a maximum of two A4 pages and remember to make allowances for
photos should any have to be included in the publication.
Read an
article example explaining some of the more "technical" aspects concerning
e.g. the inclusion of images in your submission for publication.
